Some trivial notes on the iPad →
Good observations from Neven Mrgan, though judging by this picture I think that “handle” is actually how the case attaches to itself in order to stand up.

Party of No →
evangotlib: mikehudack: ericmortensen: think4yourself: azspot: Paragons of fiscal discipline, every Senate Republican today voted against reestablishing “pay-as-you-go” budgeting rules that mandate that any new spending must be paid for. The rule passed on a 60-40 party line vote. GG, Republican party.  GG indeed.

↑ XP VS. OS X ↓ How was this ever acceptable text rendering for a OS released in 2001? (Not to mention service pack’d three times since then, and a browser [IE 7] released in 2006— there have been plenty of opportunities to fix this) (I don’t have a Vista or W7 box handy for a more up-to-date comparison, can anyone confirm how good/bad those are?)

We're not in fifth grade
mrgan: Tumblr has a new feature: Now testing: Ask Me The new Ask feature lets your friends or readers ask questions that you can choose to answer on your blog. This was annoying when Formspring did it, it’s annoying that Tumblr copied it wholesale, and it will continue to be annoying to see these in my feed. The first few Q&A posts that trickled in resulted in immediate unfollows from...

Tumblr and SEO
topherchris: daveambrose at data.insights.ideas brought this to my attention. I would have reblogged directly but I find that Quote posts get a little funky to decipher once there’s a good amount of added commentary. Melissa Chang’s Why I’m kissing Tumblr a sad, sad good-bye is already a quick read (so go read it), but here’s the gist: I didn’t know this about Tumblr. I didn’t know that the...

Growing Up Heroes →
merlin: evrt: This is a great new tumblog, featuring old photos of kids dressed up in wacky super hero costumes. Worth a look anyway… Very much so. Sweet photos, and an ideal concept for the Tumblr medium. Hey, that’s my theme!  Nifty.
