Maybe they should’ve include the question “Would you accept as normal the torture of American troops captured and held by enemy combatants?”
I think the question is too vague, really. If it were a bit more specifically worded as to what those “cases” are, the results could be drastically different. Americans tend to be fickle/stupid like that.
